Customer Service

I didn't mean to post anything this weekend (as you probably know we're moving), but I couldn't resist. Such a bizarre situation happened that I just had to write about it. Because we're moving, I called a company in charge or our home phone line and internet and asked them to move our service to our new place. Because it was more than 3 weeks notice, everything seemed to be fine. They will cut off our service on Friday early morning and connect the lines at our new place Friday morning. I've got at least 5 phone/email reminders last week that someone needs to be present at the new place in order to connect our services. Everything seemed to be so professional... But only until Friday morning. First the guy called that he is on his way half an hour later than he was supposed to come and it took him another ...

Moving

Young Couple Moving House

Uff, moving is a tough thing let me tell you. Numbers of boxes, plenty of lost and found stuff and unbelievable number of things you've never used and will probably never use again. Yes, we're moving. (If you want to find how I still have time to update my blog, create events and specials, be in touch with my clients, run my multiple businesses and much more, I will disappoint you as this is not what I'm going to write about today.) The point is, that I found some cool things while packing. I found sticker box I bought for my kids for Christmas 2 years ago. And a book I bought for my older one's Birthday we celebrated last spring. Also many drawings from my kids and forgotten DVDs... the list could go on. I was pretty sure I have good systems in place, I know where to find everything ...

How to be on time, every time

1142603_diary_planner

So, how do all of those "super women" stay so calm and collected and still manage to show up on time for every event? They use a schedule. It may seem impossible to fit everything into one week, or even one day, but it can be done. The first step to creating a successful schedule is to find a planner. Some ladies like to have a planner that they can take with them, these are great. Others choose to use a large wall calendar to keep up with all of their activities and appointments. Others choose to go the electronic route, and that is also great. The most important thing, is to find a method that works for you, and that you can stick with. Once you have your planner, next sit down and write out any recurring appointments, events, or tasks that happen every week. ...

Staying Healthy is as Easy as ABC

Lifestyle

Staying healthy requires a lot of thinking and self reflection to be successful. With a longer life expectancy of human beings as compared to pre-modern age, people have been more vigilant to think about and create ways to even extend the lives of everyone existing. Numerous mnemonics and acronyms have been developed as well by nutritionists and scientists to help people have a guide on how to stay healthy. One of these would be the ABC’s of staying healthy, a very simple, yet effective way of adding to the long list of patterns to keep healthy. A Is For: Abstinence “A” stands for abstinence. Many may be thinking that this seems like the same ABC tip for responsible sex. Though the keywords used in the ABC’s of staying healthy are similar except for the last one, the ideas are completely in a different context as this would specifically target more of a ...

How To Have a Day Off

ist1_5649800-sleeping-on-the-sofa-in-living-room

Who ever posts something new on their blog on Saturday? Let me think... ME! It wouldn't be a diary if I skipped a day... I had a fabulous day yesterday. I spent it with my kids playing, reading, painting (yes, I'm practically involved with our new house coming up all together), cooking, dressing up, even swimming and so much more... I LOVE my days off. I like to spend them either with my family or just by myself. I try not to work and do something I never do when I work. But best of all, my days off help me rejuvenate, refresh and relax (hmm, seems like I just came up with 3 R's). But I didn't mean to write about myself. I want to write about you! Are you a person who works hard? How often do you take your day off? What do you do when you finally have ...

The First Step to Getting Organized

Can you imagine for a moment how nice it would be to look around and see everything in its place?  Or, better yet, what if all of those tiny (out of site) places were clean and organized as well.  If you are anything like me, that would be a huge relief.  Although many of us do not realize it, unseen clutter that we know is there, causes stress.  So, how can you get rid of that unnecessary stress?  Clean it out and organize it. The fist step to any organization project is to make a plan!!  After all, it is hard to make it to your destination, if you do not know where you are going.  So, grab a pen and pad and start planning.  Go room by room and write down the things that need to be done there.  It is important to remember that this is not a list ...

How To Handle All of Those Papers!

If you are starting the new year off with an effort to get, and more importantly stay organized you probably have to deal with the issue of papers.  Sometimes when you look around it seems as if there are stacks of them everywhere, so how do you get a handle on the paper trail? 1.  Designate a spot in your office, or where ever is more convenient for you, specifically for all of your paperwork.  It is a great idea to either get a file box or a file cabinet, trays for incoming and outgoing papers, and a trash can. 2.  When you bring papers into the house, make sure you place them in the appropriate spot. When you bring in the mail, as soon as you come in the door go through and trash all of the junk mail and magazines that you will not read.  The other items should either be ...
