Many people start to build business online expecting that it is going to be easier to find new clients or customers for their product or service. The truth is that there are a lot of businesses to choose from in the online space and it will take something extra to get noticed. There are several things online business owners need to know if they want to remain competitive in today’s market.
Last week I shared with you the importance of communication and how it can help you get your prospects’ attention. If you missed the post, click here to catch up. Today I’m moving on as I show you how to get more traffic for your website. More traffic means more eye balls for your offers, which can translate to more sales. Following are couple ways to help you increase your website traffic.
1. Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
When your potential clients look for your products or services, they’re most likely to type it in Google search or Bing. It’s important for your business to rank high if you want to be found. Click here to discover 5 tips to help you get your website on search engine radar and improve your traffic.
2. Social Media
There’s no doubt that social media is here to stay. More and more people are getting comfortable with social media being part of their lives and taking time to not only connect with their friends and family, but also with businesses and brands out there. Social media is the must for any entrepreneur who wants to grow traffic and awareness about their products and services.
Still, it’s important to not only BE on social media, but to manage your presence for maximum impact. Click here to discover some of my favorite tips to help you design your very own winning social media strategy.
3. Online Marketing Strategy
Another important strategy to bring more visitors to your website is to be at as many places as possible. Some of my favorite strategies include:
- share your existing blog content through article directories
- register your RSS feed at website directories
- become a guest blogger to share your content with different audiences
- write a press release and share it online
When designing your own marketing strategy to bring more traffic to your website it’s important to pay attention to the trends, as well as your statistics. Once your own numbers confirm that specific traffic source (keyword, social media platform or other strategy) works great to bring you qualified traffic, stick to it and focus on its improvement. But remember that this works both ways. If certain traffic source doesn’t prove working well for your business, drop it and focus on other strategies that might give you better results.
