Cohesive Brand Identity Online and Offline

If you’re starting a business it can be overwhelming to piece together all the parts of a successful brand identity. Magnetic Look specializes in helping startups and entrepreneurs get off the ground with customized, high-quality branding. Rather than trying to delegate work to designers, we will teach you branding and marketing basics and principles to help you oversee designer work and set your business branding up for success. We will help you focus on your business knowing you are building a comprehensive and consistent brand across media. As a result of that you will be a person behind the brand even though there will be a team of experts helping you set up your ideas. Stop trying to learn what you can delegate and start focusing on what you’re good at.

Below is a list of items you need to set up when branding your business.

  • Logo design: Develop a unique and compelling identity for your new venture.
  • Web site design and development: Building on the identity of your logo, your web site should be carefully crafted to enhance and build your brand, optimize search, and convert viewers to customers. Remember that beautifully designed site is not enough. You need a site that brings you paying clients. With Magnetic Branding for Startups it’s easy to build a magnetic website.
  • Business cards: This is a critical piece of your identity as you use it at networking events and when reaching out to your potential clients or business partners. Keep their design consistent with your branding. Also remember to keep your other letterhead materials (stationery, envelopes, fax cover sheets, etc.) consistent with your brand.
  • Electronic letterhead: You’ll probably frequently be sending letters and proposals in electronic, rather than printed format. Remember to use your business branding the same.
  • E-Newsletter: Build your network with a custom-branded e-mail template. We’ll design a newsletter that will allow you to send professional e-newsletters with ease.

Remember, your brand is more than graphic design. It’s more than a website and it’s more than a blog. These are the tools to promote your brand, but foundation of magnetic brand lies much deeper. Check our Magnetic Look site if you’re ready to stand out and thrive.

You have some good thoughts here, but I’m a bit confused. Are you suggesting that you partner with a designer, and trust their expertise in developing visuals that communicate your brand? Or, are you suggesting that you learn about design so that you can art direct the visuals they develop for your brand?

I completely agree with your last paragraph. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for your comment, Justin! Focusing on your strengths is the key to success. So unless the design is your strength, you should definitely outsource it to other professionals so that you can focus on what you’re good at. Remember, visual branding is important, but still very small part of building a successful brand.
