Internet is home to a large pool of potential customers that search the web each day, for information on products and services.
Research has found that more and more consumers are opting to research their purchases online. Some estimates suggest that as many as 70% of all consumers find out the information they need about products via the web, or their mobile devices. What this means is that each day there may be literally thousands of people searching online for your product. If your business does not have an online presence, you are missing out on sale opportunities that may not come your way again.
In order to get your expert online business to work for you, you must have a very effective online marketing strategy in place. Internet marketing is all about getting more customers using the tools available. If you have a website, then the goal is to drive more traffic to the website. You then have the opportunity to convert visitors to customers. They… Read the rest

They can either buy online, or at physical store locations.

Some of the key components to consider when devising your online marketing strategy include:

Targeting the right audience

Attracting the right audience

Converting potential customers

Retaining customers

It is important to know the demographics of the audience you wish to target, and then create a strategic plan that will pull them to your business.

Before you even start working on your strategic plan, you will need to do your research. You will need to get clear on your target market, your competition and your own business. Without this information you can not create a winning plan. Only once your clients feel like you have the answers to their questions and solutions to their struggles, you will be able to be seen as an expert in their eyes.

The digital marketing strategies that you adopt, should be the ones most suited to the needs of your business. Social media marketing is generally a big part of online marketing, and is now recognized by many businesses. However, it is important to chart a clear path to acquiring and growing your audience, before taking the plunge into digital marketing.

Reaching out to the smartphone and cell phone customers is also important, as that group of consumers is growing fast. Mobile web has become very popular, and having a mobile friendly website is a key strategy for building the expert online business.

Still, having worked with many entrepreneurs out there I must say that doing what everyone else out there is doing is NOT the solution. The only way how your business can stand out in the midst of your competitors and attract all the clients out there who need your products and services, is to be yourself and do it your way. In your own style.

An expert online business allows you to reach out to customers anywhere in the world. The fact that people are using the internet when making their buying decisions means that your business must have an online presence. However, in order to maximize the potential that exists, it is important to be aware of the tools they use to search for information, as well as what they are looking for.

5. If you could give other business owners one piece of advice, what would it be?

Don’t wait to outsource. One of the smartest things I did was start outsourcing – from accounting to house work to managing my autoresponder lists to setting up and programming my websites. I only wish I had started investing in outsourcing sooner (you can never do it too soon). Even though it took some additional capital to accomplish, the only reason my business survived some catastrophic personal events in 2011 was because I had built a healthy team with an Online Business Manager who took care of everything when I couldn’t handle it. Without outsourcing, my business would not be thriving today – it would have died in May of 2011.

How to promote your business online. There are several alternatives. These might include platforms such as Google AdWords, Google Maps, Google Places or others. These platforms allow you to advertise your business for maximum visibility, some completely free.

If you don’t know a lot about how the internet works, you should consider getting help from professionals who can help you set up your website and marketing. Here’s what you should look for:

Online Business Strategist will help you design a custom strategy for your business that will save you time, energy, money and other resources while helping you to get the expected results fast

Web Designer will design your website and key graphics for your website and social media

Technical Support Team will deal with coding and other technical stuff that you don’t need to know about

Virtual Assistant can take hassle off your shoulders by implementing your strategy and turning it into a reality, managing your calendar, setting up your blog posts, etc.

Online Business Manager will manage your business, teams and tasks online and make sure that everything runs like a well-oiled machine

Any business can have an online presence. Creating a difference online though is a bit more challenging. It will take time, persistence and consistence. But with the right team and right strategy in place it might be simpler than you think.

Let’s have a look at the visual aspect of your business.

Your website should be well-designed, visually appealing, and packed with valuable content. The content must be optimized in order to ensure that you get the best return on investment. That means you want to make sure that it is visible to search engines, and will also rank high on the results page.

Marketing and promotion are key elements of creating an online business. You can promote your new business by getting a listing in Google Local or Yahoo local for free. These directories are organized according to type of business and location. Therefore when anyone is looking for your type of industry, they will be able to locate you easily on the listing.

You can also promote your business on social media. This is a big one, because Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest and other social sites are now highly visited and can help your business in a big way. Take time to listen to what people are saying on these sites, and join the conversations, it can help you learn a lot about the industry or business you are in as well as your clients’ needs and problems your business might eventually solve.

Amazon, Google, MySpace, and Facebook, are just some of the companies that have mastered the keys to achieving online business profitability. They continue to be innovative, are not afraid to experiment, and always keep the needs and demands of customers in focus.

As was mentioned at the outset, in order to be successful, an online business must be able to drive traffic to its site. Building traffic is important, as without it, your business will not be in a position to generate the income needed to grow and develop.

However, building website traffic requires the application of the right strategies. The aim must be to drive traffic to the site, and then convert them into paying customers. In this regard, the business website must be SEO ready. That is, it must be optimized so that it is appears high on the radar of the search engines like Google, Yahoo, and Bing. Ideally, your business should be in the top 20 on the search engine results page.

Another aspect of online business success is having relevant content. You want to be able to engage the website traffic and create value for them. That is one of the surest ways to monetize the traffic that comes to your website, as people are always willing to pay for something they view as being valuable.

A successful online business must also be willing to take some risks and experiment. It might take a little time to create the changes that will appeal to customers, but don’t be afraid to try new things. As you attempt different options, you will make the changes the customers are looking for.

Experimenting will ensure that the business continually improves, and stays current. Remember that the internet is an evolving medium, so you want to ensure that you don’t get left behind, or end up in a rut with no customers in sight. Just look at an online business like Facebook that continues to make product changes, and is able to stay ahead of the competition.

It is also important for the online business to keep the customer in mind. Always be aware of what the customer wants. This will require investing in research and development, as well as experimenting in the manner mentioned earlier. Learn to understand the customer, and incorporate changes based on the feedback you receive from them about your product or service. A business that strives to meet customer demand will never lose out. Amazon is so committed to meeting customer demand that it is possible to search for, and buy just about any published book from the company.

There are several dimensions involved in running a successful online business. One must be able to target and attract the audience, and then turn them into paying customers. Making sure the website has relevant content, as well as the right keywords and links, are also some of the other factors to keep in mind.

Having an online business presence, is all about creating awareness about your business, attracting new customers, and increasing sales. There are gains to be made from online visibility; these include access to a vast resource of potential customers, as well as the reduction in operational costs.
Online visibility can increase your customer base
Internet offers access to a worldwide audience. Many of these individuals would not have come across your business, had you not set up an online presence. It is therefore possible to get access to a large pool of sales prospects via the internet. Of course, all this will not be possible without having an up-to-date website that is search engine optimized (SEO), which can significantly increase online visibility.

Without an online business presence, a company will lose out to the competition. More businesses are seizing the increased opportunities and revenue to be gained from selling products online, and accepting online payments. Even if the website does not allow customers to process transactions, it should allow them to be able to place orders. A company that is not using the internet portal to attract new customers in this way: will definitely be losing out on additional sales and new customers.

Every business website should ensure that it has relevant content, so as to engage new traffic. The website should offer visitors easy access to information about your company, as well as the goods and services you sell. Other relevant information should include contact information, opening hours, and directions to store locations.

Online visibility can reduce operating costs

Establishing an online presence can reduce your marketing costs. A website gives you the opportunity to connect with a wider, more active audience. This interaction makes the website a very effective marketing, and can lead to increased sales. While the initial website set up and SEO might be somewhat costly, advertising costs will be reduced in the long run, as there will be less print ads, flyers, and mass mailings required.

Advertising via your website will cost you less than doing so via television, newspapers, or radio, and it also allows you to easily adjust time specific promotions. In addition, it allows you to conduct market research at a lower cost. Companies can simply post a questionnaire on their website, in order to get vital feedback regarding customer preferences.

There is no denying the fact that an online business presence may hold the key to the continued growth and development of your businesses. The fact that online visibility can help to drive sales, means that it is particularly important to income earning and profitability.

It is estimated that over 2 billion people utilize the internet each day. Over 500 million of these people are Facebook users and over 200 million follow twitter. Many of us have seen the dating sites commercials stating that 1 in 6 marriages started as an online relationship.
Social media allows its users to create, exchange, and distribute information. This is true whether individuals use this forum for personal or professional reasons. The very first step to creating a winning social media strategy is to realize how powerful social media and the internet are. Facebook was originally created as a means of social interaction for college students by college students. Today, parents and grandparents, organizations and businesses, all have Facebook pages. When Twitter started, many thought it’s just a joke. Couple years later we follow celebrities, media and corporations for insider information, tips and resources.
Online visibility is extremely important to small and large businesses alike. Companies must learn ways to increase their online visibility and social media is probably the best tool to do just that.

While it is vital that businesses are visible online, it is almost, if not more, important, that potential consumers see that the website receives a great deal of traffic. Word of mouth spreads faster on social media than in real life. Most of the time, just seeing another person endorsing a new product or specific event makes people buy or attend. Since the creation of advertisement, word of mouth has always been one of the best methods of promoting brands, products and services. Social media allows word of mouth to spread across greater distances in only a few seconds.

To produce a winning social media strategy you must create lively content that is authentic. This is true whether your business is large or small and offers products or services (or both). It is important to attract consumers, but it is vital that you hold their attention and convince them that they can benefit from your brand. The content must be truthful and accurate or you may lose potential customers. Most consumers know when a company is simply pitching a sale.

One goal of a social media strategy is to increase brand awareness. This may be done in a number of ways including creating a sweepstakes or contest for that brand. Another way is to have some type of giveaway, such as giving users a free sample or coupon for liking your page. This can be perpetuated by telling users to refer a certain number of friends and they will receive a free full size product. Social media can spread your message across the globe quickly. Entrepreneurs should take full advantage of this because even if their business does not have a Facebook page, people are still talking and tweeting about it.

ROI, or return on investment, is profit the company makes after the cost of investments into that business. Creating a sound social media strategy can dramatically increase the ROI, if the correct steps are taken. It could also be the company’s downfall. At Magnetic Look we’ve created a comprehensive program that will take you behind the scenes of social media and navigate you through the social media jungle while showing you exactly how to create your very own social media strategy for your business. Social Media Simplified program is designed to help your business win this game no matter how much (or little) experience you have in both, business as well as social media. Start taking advantage of social media today and it will increase tomorrow’s ROI giving your business the financial ability to grow and expand.

Businesses will spend time, effort and money on building their list and getting new clients, but way too often they fail to keep these clients. Yes, it is true that a great deal of time should be spent appealing to and attracting new clients, but just as much time should be spent keeping existing customers satisfied. Paying close attention to consumers’ needs and desires will help your business not only build its client list, but ensure it retains those clients. Of course, some sales are better than no sales, but loyal and satisfied clients will return and this is the key to a sustainable, growing business.
The very first step is to review your company’s mission statement and consider what products and/or services it is to provide. It is important that clients know exactly what your business offers in detail. This establishes the consumers’ expectations of your relationship from the beginning. Do not promise things your company is unable to consistently deliver to its clients and clearly define what it can and will provide. When a client knows that your business stands firmly behind its products and/or services, their trust level grows. Yes, it is true that a great deal of time should be spent appealing to and attracting new clients, but just as much time should be spent keeping existing customers satisfied. Paying close attention to consumers’ needs and desires will help your business not only build its client list, but ensure it retains those clients.
Consumers that trust a company will continue to return again and again. Discover simple tips to help you win the hearts of your clients.

It is important to keep on the pulse of what your customers want, need, and expect from your business. This includes keeping up to date with their comments on social media as well as staying in touch with them personally. Excellent customer service is extremely crucial to retaining clients. Quality customer service entails follow up correspondence, being available to answer clients’ questions clearly, and resolving issues expediently in a satisfactory manner.

Another important factor of keeping more clients is adding value to the products and/or services that your business provides. The internet makes communication between company and clients much easier and less time consuming. Companies can have conference calls to discuss product and/or service improvements as well as advertise new ones. All of your business’s teams can exchange ideas and customers can express opinions via the internet and social media.

A good tip to keep in mind is to under promise and over deliver in order to keep clients satisfied, while exceeding their expectations. Satisfied customers will help your business attract new and loyal clients in greater numbers through word of mouth. Customers may be attracted to your carefully laid out business website, but people pay more attention to the opinions of friends and family than any other reference or endorsement. It is a good idea to include past consumer testimonials on your company’s web page, but most people look to a parent, sibling, or best friend for purchasing advice. If your business exceeds customer expectations, they will assuredly relay this to their immediate social group. And trust me, there’s nothing as powerful as word of mouth.

It is important to do everything in your power to make the clients have a fun and hassle free experience every time they deal with your company. This means from the first moment they search out or just come across your website, through ordering and purchasing, to their feedback upon delivery. Feedback can be relayed on your website, Tweeted by the customer, or posted on Facebook for the entire world to read. You can be almost 100% sure that whether it is a positive or negative review, it will be posted in some type of social media forum. How about creating a message board on your website to allow customer to post their comments, reviews, and opinions?

It is said that you should have a reserve fund to pay all business expenses and costs for two years after opening it in order to ensure company sustainability.
It might seem out of reach for you, especially if you’re still in the growth stage of your business, but the truth is that it takes at least ten years for a company to become established; therefore it is vital that owner(s) take time, have unwavering perseverance and educate themselves as much as possible.
1. Keep an Eye on Both, Clients and Competitors
As a business owner you must pay attention to what their competition offers and how satisfied customers are. Assuming that your business has no competition or that your business will remain superior to the competition is a fatal mistake. Customers almost always have the option to do business somewhere else. Ensure that your company offers products and/or services of greater value than the competitors. Determine what your business provides that is superior to any other product and/or service and capitalize on this.

It is simple and quick to advertise your products and/or services in today’s world. It is important to realize that it is just as easy for the competition to do the same. It is also simple for your clients to tell the world about their disappointment with your company in mere seconds. Determine what your company offers and how the consumer may benefit from this, then tell the world, through advertisements, especially on social media platforms. Click here to learn how to research your competitors and market and win this game.

2. Deliver on Your Promise

Another fatal error that most businesses make is to promise something that they cannot deliver. One simple, but excellent piece of advice is always under promise and over deliver when advertising. Make sure you detail your company’s products and/or services in a clear and precise manner. You must not only exceed the clients’ expectations, but consistently continue to do so. A business that clearly states what they intend to deliver and consistently does so will definitely keep more clients. Inconsistency can be the downfall of any company no matter how experienced the owners are.

3. Build a Strong Team

Weak team leadership can be the fall of a potentially winning team and the entire company. Anything that is worth creating must be constantly nurtured and must have a strong foundation. The foundation of a business team is you and/or the team lead. Any company’s team must have strong leadership that constantly instructs, drives, and encourages them. The team must clearly understand what is expected of it and what goals it is striving to achieve during any given workday. Those companies that build strong, motivated, high performing teams are able to keep more clients.

4. Don’t Underestimate the Power of Social Media

It is important that businesses keep up with customers’ needs, desires, and degree of satisfaction. This is more easily done, in less time, than ever before due to the explosion of the World Wide Web. The internet and social media enable businesses to keep up to date with customer reviews, feedback, and opinions. Failing to understand the power of social media is a big mistake that causes businesses to lose clients as well as prevents them from getting more referrals. Most all businesses want to know how to get more referrals and keep them. Clearly detailing what your business will provide, consistently delivering on those promises, and knowing what consumers expect will result in numerous satisfied customer referrals.
